Mohun Bagan continues their dominance in derby encounters, defeating both East Bengal and Mohammedan across levels. In the lead-up to the senior ISL derby against Mohammedan, Mohun Bagan’s U-17 side secured a 2–1 victory in the Elite Youth League. Despite trailing 0–1 at halftime after a goal from Sheikh Kayub, the Mariners bounced back through Lungoulal Kipgen’s equaliser and a Mohammedan own goal by Titas Sardar. Kipgen was named player of the match.
