After three consecutive ISL victories, Mohun Bagan faced a formidable Odisha side away in Bhubaneswar. Missing star player Greg Stewart and contending with former Mariners Hugo Boumous and Roy Krishna, Mohun Bagan settled for a 1-1 draw.

The game began on a tense note, with Odisha taking an early lead in the 4th minute. Defender Ashis Rai’s error compounded the situation, leading to a contentious indirect free-kick. Despite sustained efforts, Mohun Bagan struggled to break through Odisha’s defense.

The Mariners showcased glimpses of their attacking prowess but lacked precision in the final third. Odisha, on the other hand, capitalized on counterattacks, forcing Vishal Kaith into several critical saves. The absence of Stewart’s creativity was evident, as Mohun Bagan failed to find the decisive goal.

While the draw ended their winning streak, Mohun Bagan remains a force to reckon with under Jose Molina’s guidance. The result serves as a reminder of the challenges ahead in their ISL campaign.
