Mohun Bagan Secures Hat-Trick of Victories at Home

Mohun Bagan secured a hat-trick of victories in the ISL with a 4-2 win against North-East United at home. The match started with North-East United taking an early lead from a penalty in the 6th minute, converted by Tomi Juric. Despite initial setbacks, Mohun Bagan dominated from the 20th minute onwards, as Highlanders struggled to contain their attacks. Joni Kauko equalized for North-East United in the first half at 46 minutes, only for Jason Cummings to regain Mohun Bagan’s lead just three minutes later. The first half ended 2-1 in favour of Mohun Bagan. In the 50th minute of the second half, North-East United equalized again, but Mohun Bagan responded swiftly with another goal from Tomi Juric, maintaining their lead. Despite efforts from the opposition, Mohun Bagan extended their advantage to 4-2 with a goal from Sahal Abdul Samad in the 57th minute. Deepak Tangri replaced Kauko in the 67th minute, but it was too late to change the outcome. Dimitri Petratos’s goal in the 87th minute for North-East United was insufficient to alter the scoreline, as Mohun Bagan emerged victorious, securing the second spot in the league standings.
