In a nail-biting Durand Cup semifinal, Mohun Bagan staged a dramatic comeback to defeat Bengaluru FC in a penalty shootout. Trailing 2-0 until the 68th minute, goals from Dimitri Petratos and Anirudh Thapa forced a shootout, where Vishal Kaith’s brilliance secured the win.

Sunil Chhetri opened the scoring for Bengaluru with a penalty, followed by an outstanding strike from Vineeth. Mohun Bagan struggled to find their rhythm until a penalty converted by Petratos and Thapa’s long-range effort brought them back into contention.

In the shootout, Kaith saved two crucial attempts, while Mohun Bagan converted four of their five shots. This victory sends the Mariners to the final, where they aim to defend their title and reclaim Durand glory.
