Mohun Bagan Set To Create History By Organizing Their 132nd Athletics Meet With More Than 600 Athletes.
After continuous barren spells and setbacks caused by the Corona pandemic, the world is slowly getting back on its feet, in terms of spending time outside four walls, as it’s supposed to be.
Outdoor activities and events have started following their normal course, with sports events like football, cricket etc. welcoming supporters in stadiums, with open arms and safety protocols. World sports is ramping up to regain its glory days again
When it comes to Kolkata Maidan, promising days lie ahead as different clubs are planning on Athletics Meet for organizing various kinds of sport events catering to diversified athletes.
Mohun Bagan, the national club of India, are set to be the pioneers in this endeavor once again as they would be creating history by being the first club in Kolkata who would be organizing their 132nd Athletics Meet from 25th February 2022 to 26th February 2022, with more than 600 athletes.
The Meet was scheduled to start on 15th and 16th January, but due to various Covid restrictions imposed by the state government, the Club was temporarily forced to postpone the same.
10 groups would be involved in 62 events such as – 100m race, 200m race, 100m hurdle race, 200m hurdle race, long jump, high jump, shot put, javelin throw etc.
This meet would act as a big source of motivation and something to look forward to for other influential clubs and sports entities all over the country.
