Kolkata Sports Journalists Club Launches Football School for Girls

The Calcutta Sports Journalists’ Club (CSJC) has taken a significant step in football development by launching a girls’ U-13 football coaching school in collaboration with Beniyaan Tree Automobiles. The initiative, started on July 2 last year to mark World Sports Journalists Day, aims to empower girls from underprivileged backgrounds through structured training. Currently, 25 students are receiving regular coaching at the club ground. The program is led by Shanti Mallick, India’s first Arjuna awardee in women’s football.
