Mohammedan SC’s struggles in the ISL continued as they suffered a crushing 3-1 defeat to an out-of-form Jamshedpur FC. Despite a promising start, Andre Chernyshov’s men crumbled in the second half, exposing the glaring gap between ISL and I-League standards.

Jamshedpur entered the match on the back of three heavy defeats, conceding 13 goals in their last outings. However, the hosts turned their fortunes around, taking control after a balanced first half. Mohammed Sanan broke the deadlock in the 53rd minute with a stunning strike, followed by a defensive error that allowed Jamshedpur’s Jordan Civerio to double the lead. Steven Eze sealed the win with a powerful header in the 79th minute.

Mohammedan managed a late consolation goal through Mohammed Irshad but missed a golden chance to narrow the gap when Francka squandered a penalty. The loss keeps Mohammedan at the bottom, while Jamshedpur’s win propels them to 7th place with 15 points from 9 matches.
