Kerala Blasters vs ATK

Kerala Blasters met ATK, in which was the first match after the break. With both the teams having had a very mediocre season so far, the onus was on them to change their fortunes. First half saw a flurry of chances missed by the two teams. The first goal came as late as the 85th minute, when Edu Garcia gave ATK a brief lead, as scored from a free-kick, from the edge of the box. The hosts came back within the next three minutes, after Poplatnik’s header, deflected off Gerson Viera, went in. The match ended in a justifiable 1-1 draw.

NorthEast United FC vs Chennaiyin FC

NorthEast United FC, who have been the better performers in this edition so far, played hosts to Chennaiyin FC, who have been rather poor in the first half. NorthEast United FC won the match by a solitary goal scored by Ogbeche in the 87th minute. NorthEast United FC, despite dominating proceedings, missed quite a lot of chances, and Chennaiyin did rather well to restrict them to a single goal.

Mumbai City FC vs Bengaluru FC

The top two teams met at the Mumbai Football Arena, a match which should see the pragmatic Mumbai try to resist the high flying Bengaluru team. It was the hosts who scored, in the 33rd minute of the game, as Paulo Machado put the finishing touch to a brilliant counter attacking move. The goal came against the run of play, as Bengaluru had started to attack at that time, putting quite a few dangerous balls into the box. They, however, weren’t able to come back, thus ending their 11 match unbeaten streak.

Goa vs Jamshedpur FC

FC Goa met Jamshedpur FC at Fatorda Stadium, looking to gain momentum in the second half of their ISL campaign. The match, however, ended in a draw, with Goa being very wasteful in the final third, and were unable to convert the 16 shots on goal. After a dull first half, Goa did try to switch gears in the second half, albeit, without any change in the scoreline.

Bengaluru FC vs NorthEast United FC

In an end-to-end match between two really good attacking teams, the result eventually come down to which team scored the higher number of goals ; and so it did. Bengaluru took the lead in the 15th minute, after a clever free-kick routine saw Chhetri putting in a cross in the box, which was headed into his own net by NEUFC defender Komorski. In the 60th minute, NEUFC scored the equaliser as Federico Gallago, having received the ball from Lalthlamuana, put the ball past Gurpreet Singh Sandhu, who had managed to make quite a few saves till then. Bengaluru then scored the winner in the 71st minute through Chencho, who has been in some goalscoring form in the current edition of ISL.
