Mohun Bagan secured their first victory in the Kolkata League by defeating Peerless 1-0 on Thursday. Before this match, the Green and Maroon brigade had not tasted victory in the Premier Division League, but this win elevated their tally to five points from four matches.

In the 23rd minute, Tan Singh’s powerful long-range strike from Fardeen’s assist secured the winning goal.
