East Bengal Defeats Peerless to Remain Unbeaten

East Bengal maintained their unbeaten record in the Kolkata League with a 2-1 victory over Peerless on Sunday. The Red and Gold brigade showcased their resilience, with goals from Jeakson TK and Ashik sealing the win.

After a rain delay forced the match to be rescheduled, East Bengal approached the game with determination. Despite Peerless’ spirited defense, Jeakson opened the scoring in the 77th minute with a brilliant solo effort. Minutes later, Ashik doubled the lead from Jeakson’s assist, ensuring a comfortable cushion.

Peerless managed to pull one back late in the game, but East Bengal’s defense held firm to secure all three points. With this victory, East Bengal reclaimed the top spot in the league standings and solidified their position as title favorites.
