Brazil unleashed a storm in their second match at Copa America

In their second match of the Copa America group stage, Brazil suffered a 4-1 defeat against Paraguay. In this match, wearing their yellow jerseys, Brazil saw a brace from Vinícius Júnior leading them to victory. Brazil had previously played a goalless draw against Costa Rica in Group D in their first match. This time, in their second group match, they succumbed to a 4-1 defeat against Paraguay.

At the Alejando stadium, Brazil had the opportunity to take the lead within 31 minutes. However, Lucas Paquetá missed a penalty. Yet, within just four minutes, Vinícius Júnior shook Paraguay’s net following a pass from Lucas. Brazil led 1-0 by the 35th minute. Before the end of the first half, Savio extended Brazil’s lead further in the 43rd minute. Just before halftime, Vinícius scored his second and Brazil’s third goal.

Paraguay sought redemption in the second half, scoring a goal in the 48th minute through Omar Alderete. Brazil earned another penalty in the 65th minute. This time, Brazilian midfielder Lucas Paquetá didn’t miss, increasing Brazil’s lead to 4-1. In the 81st minute, Paraguayan midfielder Cubas received a red card. Despite Paraguay’s efforts with ten men, they couldn’t find the back of the net again before the final whistle.
